swinger locations* Sent by WHO China on behalf of Positive Art Workshop BEIJING, Nov. 24 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- For World AIDS Day 2005, Positive Art Workshop (PAW) and Hard Rock Cafe (HRC) are proud to co-organise the Unite Against AIDS campaign. A press conference -- "Celebrities Unite Against AIDS" is to be held on 28 November 2005 (Monday) at 1400 hours at Hard Rock Cafe Beijing (No. 8 Dongsanhuan Road, Landmark Hotel. Contact no. 06688 ext. 2571). This press conference aims to inform the public of the event Unite Against AIDS to be held on 1 December 2005 (World AIDS Day) from 9pm onwards at the Hard Rock Cafe; and, with the support of the celebrities present, reach out to the youth and raise their awareness regarding HIV/AIDS and thus help efforts to prevent the spread of HIV infection amongst the youth of China. The celebrities scheduled to attend the November 28 press conference include the local model/actress/singer -- Ms. Qu Ying, the Taiwanese pop singer -- Mr. We Ke Qun, the Singaporean pop singer -- Ms. Jin Sha, along with Mr. Yu Da Wei, Mr. Cao Fang, Ms. Xi Ya and Ms. He Min, amongst others. All these celebrities have taken time from their busy schedules to support the grassroots community in its efforts against HIV/AIDS. Also present at the press conference will be representatives from the co- organisers -- PAW & HRC, supporting organisations -- UNAIDS, Bayer, Eastline Advertising, and Moss & Dragonfly, as well as international and Chinese language media. During the campaign, IEC materials and condom/matchstick packets (designed by PAW) will be distributed. HRC seeks to raise funds for PAW with the sale of a limited edition HRC T-shirt (designed by PAW) and from donating 5% of the total revenue of HRC on 1 December 2005 to PAW. PAW is an independent project funded by the Ford Foundation and supported by the Home of Loving Care of Beijing Youan Hospital. It was founded in 2003 to provide Art Therapy for People Living with HIV/AIDS. PAW is delighted to co-organise this mini-charity event with HRC which aims to raise the awareness of HIV/AIDS amongst the public, disseminate HIV/AIDS prevention information, and reduce stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV/AIDS.
